Urie Loch Trek

Walking

Starting from Dyemill Car Park, this steep walk of sometimes treacherous terrain culminates in the remote and beautiful Urie Loch, surrounded by secluded moorland and forests

This tour is 2.8 miles long, please allow at least 55 minutes to complete it, excluding the time taken to enjoy the destinations along the way.

Following the sign-posted trail, this route will initially conduct you through clear-felled woodland alongside a fast-flowing pebbled burn. The walk is mostly in ascent, until the clearing is reached at Creag na h-Ennie and the route levels out temporarily before descending towards the loch itself. A site of stunning natural beauty and diverse wildlife, Urie is well worth the challenging climb.
