About The Walled Garden Touring Park
Dot and Barry are looking forward to welcoming visitors old and new with your touring caravans, motor homes and tents. Whether you want to explore local attractions or just relax and unwind in our park’s tranquil setting, our aim is to provide the very best of personal service and Scottish hospitality. The Walled Garden Caravan and Camping Park is set in the unspoilt beauty of the River Girvan Valley which is in Carrick, Ayrshire. Surrounded by beautiful countryside we are only 9 miles from the coast.

Steeped in history, we are ideally situated for visiting Culzean Castle, Burns Cottage and Crossraguel Abbey.

Ayr (14miles) offers great shopping, a beach/play park, Ayr Racecourse, Scottish Championship football at Ayr United and lots more.

You will be spoilt for choice when eating out with a range of food to tempt all tastes! – The Coo Shed, Wildings, Souters Inn, The Kirkmichael Arms and many more are all within 10 miles.

For lovers of the outdoors there are walking trails and cycle tracks – we are 3 miles from the National Cycle Network – nine miles away Turnberry Adventures offers a range of outdoor pursuits and the wildlife around our park includes, otters, deer, Kingfishers and squirrels.

Dark Sky – Whilst we have our own ‘dark sky’ above our park only 15 miles away is the world’s first large public use observatory within a gold tier Dark Sky Park at Craigengillan Estate, Dalmellington. Its location, on the edge of the Galloway Forest Dark Sky Park, set up in 2009 by Forestry Commission Scotland, means that it enjoys some of the darkest skies in the world; the park itself being one of only ten in the world to be recognised by the International Dark-sky Association. Countless stars, the Milky Way, shooting stars, planets, comets and the Northern Lights are all visible from the area. The new observatory will provide a spectacular opportunity to view and appreciate the night sky through state-of-the art telescopes and imaging equipment.

For those of you that can’t resist the call of the sea, the MVF Glorious runs trips from Girvan to Ailsa Craig and also sea angling.
