About Maidens
It is believed that in February 1307 Robert the Bruce landed in Maidens, en route to his eventual reconquest of Scotland, after his time in hiding on Rathlin Island.

A series of rocks known as the "Maidens of Turnberry" form a natural harbour. The long sandy beach with grassy foreshore is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy breathtaking scenery including views of Ailsa Craig, the Isle of Arran and on a clear day, the Mull of Kintyre.

Maidens village has two children's play parks, a bowling club, village shop and two restaurants, Wildings and Malin Court.

On the doorstep you will find the world famous Turnberry Hotel, renowned for its award winning afternoon teas and Championship golf course.

Take a stroll along Maidens beach in a northward direction to uncover the pathway which leads onto Culzean Country Park. Head south and you will find the quaint harbour, traditionally used for fishing and today used for pleasure boats.
