Butter Lump is small rock a few yards offshore towards the South East of the island of Great Cumbrae.
About Butter Lump
Like many of the rock formations on Great Cumbrae, this island landmark has acquired an affectionate name. Submerged in the shallows near the shoreline, Butter Lump is so called because it resembles a slab of melting butter.
