About Blackwaterfoot
Blackwaterfoot is a village on the South West of the Isle of Arran. Being one of the quieter villages on Arran, it is well liked for its tranquillity and overlooks the stunning Drumadoon Point. Here lies the remains of an Iron Age fort. Close by is Machrie Moor. Accessed by a farm track, this interesting collection of standing stones and circles is one of the most important prehistoric sites in the UK.

There is a small selection of shops and other tourist facilities, along with the Kinloch Hotel. Blackwaterfoot is also home to the 12 hole Shiskine Golf Course, which people travel from all over the island to use.
