About Birkmyre Park
A public park, Birkmyre Park, was donated by local merchant Adam Birkmyre for the benefit of the parish in 1897. The park is held and managed by the Birkmyre Trust. Recent redevelopment has modified the park's pavilion to contain a fitness gymnasium, a café and changing facilities as well as including a new children's playpark.

Birkmyre Park also hosts association football, rugby and cricket within its grounds. Local sports teams generally meet in the Park, including the Birkmyre Rugby Club, who compete in the Scottish Rugby Union's West regional league and Kilmacolm Cricket Club, an amateur team with a long history. The park is also used by sports teams for the village's schools.
